NASSCOM announces Future Skills Partnership with SkillUp Online

We’re proud to announce that SkillUp Online has signed an MoU with NASSCOM’s Sector Skills Council to help develop the NASSCOM FutureSkills portal. This partnership will enable SkillUp Online to empower both current and future working professionals in India with industry-leading courses (including Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Cloud Technologies, Cyber Security, Blockchain etc.) certified by India’s largest IT trade association, NASSCOM.

The ongoing digitization of new-age technologies are creating a massive skill gap in the IT-ITES industry. According to an estimate, out of the 4.5 million professionals employed in the industry today, around 1.5 to 2 million professionals will require re-skilling in the coming four to five years. This is over and above the increasing demand for professionals in the horizontal market because of digitization. NASSCOM envisions meeting in this rapidly increasing demand in order to support and accelerate India’s global rise in the digital domain.

JPS Kohli, CEO SkillUp Group said, “We’re extremely delighted to join hands with NASSCOM for its FutureSkills project. At SkillUp Online, our vision is to create an empowered society that isn’t restricted by the conventional means of learning. This vision enables us to curate dedicated knowledge resources on various industry-leading topics, thereby empowering young India to skill up according to their individual needs. Our partnership with NASSCOM helps us put these resources in the hands of both college students and professionals who want to climb the corporate ladder and shape their professional careers.”

Ratan Deep Singh, India CEO SkillUp Group said, “What NASSCOM is doing with it’s FutureSkills initiative is mission critical not just from India’s IT BPM industry perspective but for the overall prosperity and development of Modern India. Collaborating with NASSCOM on FutureSkills initiative is really exciting for us. We are looking forward to this partnership.”

Amit Aggarwal, CEO NASSCOM SSC said, “SkillUp Online’s charter in the future skills space is in perfect alignment with the idea of the NASSCOM FutureSkills initiative. So, this partnership with SkillUp Online is something that we are really happy about. We are looking forward to driving the FutureSkills charter with their help.”
